About the Danish Embassy
Join our dynamic and ambitious team at the Danish Embassy in Dhaka. As part of the Danish Foreign Service, we work alongside the Norwegian and Swedish Embassies to provide quality services to our citizens and support key diplomatic missions.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Visa and Consular Officer to join our Visa Section. This is a full-time role dedicated to processing visa applications, managing documentation, conducting interviews, and providing support to applicants.
Main Responsibilities
✅ Process visa and residence/work permit applications
✅ Conduct interviews with visa applicants (students, families, etc.)
✅ Manage communications with Visa Application Centre, Danish Immigration Service, and other stakeholders
✅ Update visa-related information on Embassy webpages
✅ Assist with the Denmark Visa Facilitation Centre (VFS)
✅ Support Embassy management with additional tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
Education: Master’s degree in any discipline
Experience: 2-5 years in visa or administration (ideally in a Schengen Embassy)
️ Languages: Fluent in Bangla and English (Danish is a plus)
Skills: Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)
Personal Traits: Organized, flexible, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure
Employment Details
Working Hours: 37 hours/week
Contract: Open-ended (subject to a 3-month probation period)
Salary: Based on qualifications and experience
Benefits: 20 days paid holiday per year, pension scheme, sickness coverage
